Developing a New Democratic Vision
We are at the first point in time when behavioural science is sufficiently developed to ground a political framework empirically. This ability to ground vision and policy in the realities of human behaviour also happens to coincide with the breakdown of the post-war consensus.
Can the psychological drivers of legitimacy and political stability point us toward a new consensus — one coherent enough to actually believe in? Can it generate policy ideas that cut through, while delivering a broader argument that connects with the public?
Can it bridge centrist parties and build a broader constituency?
This workshop aims to be a good faith attempt at converting insights from political theory based on behavioural science into a new centre-left political vision.
